An Attorney At Law Filed A Fundemental Rights Petition Against Eastern Province Chief Minister

An Attorney At Law P.Liyanarachchi has filed a fundamental rights petition at Supreme Court  against Eastern Province Chief Minister Nasser Ahamed regarding acting in a disgraceful manner on a Navy Officer and a School Student at a function held at Sampur Collage(Eastern Province) recently. it has been revealed.

The Eastern Province Chief Minister had verbally abused the Navy Officer and a student during the opening ceremony of a Science Laboratory and Computer Unit of the Collage which was attended by Eastern Province Governor Austin Fernando and US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Atul Keshap.

Former Colombo Additional Magistrate Has Given A Statement To CID Over Keeping An Elephant Calf Ilegally In His Possession

Image result for elephant calfThe former Colombo Additional Magistrate Thilina Gamage has given a statement to Criminal Investigations Department (CID)today(07)regarding the alleged  possession of an elephant calf without  a valid permit.

The former Additional Magistrate was surrendered to gangodawila magistrate court on last Thursday(02) over the allegation and released on a cash bail of Rs.500,000 and four personal bails of Rs.2.5  million each  .He was ordered to appear before CID Today(07).

The former Additional Magistrate is on compulsory leave regarding the allegation.

Muslim Community Has Begun A Month Of Fasting For Ramadan

The fasting during Ramadan ,the ninth month of Islamic Lunar Calendar is considered as one of the five pillars of Islam.

Health Minister Proposed To Testing Blood Of Foreigners And Employees Of Local Tourism Industry To Prevent Spreading Malaria And HIV/AIDS

Image result for sri lanka health ministryThe Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne has today(06) proposed to implement a special programme to testing blood of foreigners who arrive Sri Lanka to settle here and all employees involved in local tourism sector in view of preventing spreading of Malaria and HIV/AIDS in the country.

Without such a programme Sri Lanka will  not able to control these diseases the Health Minister has stated during a meeting held with health officials.
