Six Hour Long Power Cut To Be Implemented In 08 Zones Tomorrow (24)

Public Utilities Commission had today (23) approved a 06 hours and 10 minutes long Power cut for 08 Zones and another 05 hour long power cut for 12 zones tomorrow (24) Due to the shortage of fuel to generate power supply as per requested by Ceylon Electricity Board .

Accordingly 06 hours and 10 minutes long Power cut will be implemented in Zones "P" to "W " from 8.30 a,m to 11 p.m tomorrow and another 05 hour long power cut will be implemented in 12 zones "A " to "L " from 8 a.m to 11 p.m it has been announced .

Five Corona Deaths Had Been Reported Today (23)

A total number of 05 Corona deaths had been reported in the country today (23) Increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 16,445 the Director General Of Health Services (DGHS ) has announced.

Accordingly 03 males and 02 females had died due to Corona infection the DGHS has stated .Out of the deceased 04 were over 60 years of age and one was belonged to 30-60 year age group it has been revealed .

292 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today(23)

Another 292 Corona Positives had been reported in the country today (23) Increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 660.151 according to Epidemiology Unit .

Accordingly 18,854 Corona Positives are being treated at Hospitals, Quarantine Centers and under home care system the Unit has stated

Island Wide Power Cuts Approved For Tomorrow (23) As Well

Two hours and fourty minutes to five hour Island wide power cuts are scheduled to be implemented tomorrow (23) due to the fuel shortage according to Public Utilities Commission
.

Accordingly the zones "P " to "W " will face two hours and forty minutes long power cut from 10.30 a.m to 9.30 p,m and "A " to "L " Zones will face five hour power cut from 8 a.m to 11 p.m the Commission had stated .
