Chandana Wikramasimghe has told yesterday  (11)that anyone who arriving  from Corona virus hit Italy ,Iran and South Korea who did not want to undergo the 14 day quarantine process in Sri Lanka can go back to those countries again .

Addressing a Media Briefing held at National Defense Center in Colpetty the Army Media Spokesman has said that everyone arriving from those countries should have undergone the quarantine process at Batticaloa Private Campus and Kandakadu Rehabilitation center in POLONNARUWA.

All facilities including meals will be provided for those undergoing quarantine process in.these Centers he has revealed .

Few Sri Lankans arrived in from Italy ,Iran and South Korea had protested at the Katunayake Airport Terminal Building yesterday demanding not to quarantine them as they want to go to their houses as soon as possible .

Meanwhile Health Ministry Has yesterday issued a warning to those who were protestEd against the quarantine process to think of their family members first  especially their elders before refusing quarantine process .'If anyone arriving from those countries infected with Corona Virus it can be spread to their family members too .Therefore it's better for them to be quarantined under supervision of medical personal before going home "Director General Of Health Services Dr.Anil Jasinghe has stressed.

Addressing a press briefing held at the Health Ministry yesterday  (11)Dr.Jasinghe has stressed that everyone need  not  wear face masks except those who are suffering from respiratory diseases at this stage .

However there's a facemask shortage prevailing in many areas of the country at present both imported and local made ones and only expensive ones which can be used for several days  are available in big pharmacies it has been reported .

person ,The first Sri Lankan National to be infected with the virus had been identified yesterday  (10)according to the Director General of Health Services Dr.Anil Jasinghe.

The patient who is a Tourist guide and worked with a group of Italian Nationals last week ,had been admitted to the Infectious Diseases Hospital in Angoda and currently receiving treatment  in isolation .His condition is stable it has been reported.

Addressing a press briefing held at the Ministry of Health this morning  (11)Dr.Jasinghe has stressed that the Ministry is currently launched a full investigation to find out the whereabouts of those who had contacted the Corona virus patient and the places they have travelled .

The group of Italians who had travelled with the Sri Lankan tourist guide who had infected with Corona Virus  have already left the country it has been revealed .

The family members of the Corona virus infected Sri Lankan guide are quarantine at their home according to sources .

Dr.Jasinghe had appealed from the public to support the programme launched by the government to prevent spreading corona virus in the country.

Addressing the Press briefing Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi has stated that if people are not supportive the quarantine process of those arriving in Corona virus hit countries Italy, Iran and South Korea tough meassures like banning public gatherings will.be implemented .
