A 18 Year Old School Girl Has Been Critically InJured Due To An Explosion
A 18 year old school girl was critically injured and
hospitalized due to an exploding of a foreign object inside her house at Maldenipura,Kekirawa today (02) .
The injured school girl who had received severe injuries to her legs and head was admitted to the Kekirawa Provincial Hospital and later transferred to Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital for further treatment.
The object which exploded was brought to the house by the father of the school girl it has been revealed.
Kekirawa Police are investigating on the incident.

Chief Suspects Of Central Bank Bond Scam Arjun Aloysius And Kasun Palisena Were Further Remanded
The imprisoned chief suspects of the Central Bank
Bond Scam Arjun Aloysius and Kasun Palisena of Perpetual Treasuries have been further remanded until 15th of March by the Colombo Fort Magistrate Today (02).
The two suspects were further remanded after being produced before the Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne.
During the case hearing the lawyers of Perpetual Treasuries owner Arjuna Aloysius had requested the Colombo Fort Magistrate to admit their client to Prison Hospital due to suffering from a urine disorder and a skin disease.However the Magistrate has stated that she could not take such a decision under a circular issued by the Judicial Services Commission and Prisons Commissioner can take such a step.
The court had granted permission to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to question both Aloysius and Palisena over the Central Bank Bond Scam from 05th to 15th of next month.
Meanwhile Deputy Solicitor General Haripriya Jayasundara had stated during the court proceedings that the summons sent to the main suspect of the Central Bank Bond Scam former Central Bank governor Arjun Mahendran who is in Singapore via a coorier service to appear before the CID on 08th of March to record a statement ,But the Coorier service had informed that Mahendren is not available in that address.

Colombo Municipal Council Commissioner Was Removed From His Post
Western Provincial Governor K.C Logeshwaren had
today (02)removed the Colombo Municipal Commissioner V.K Anura in view of conducting an impartial inquiry over the collapsing of a part of the Meethotamulle Garbage Dump last April.
The report of an inquiry conducted by a Presidential Commission over the collapsing of a part of Meethotamulle Garbage Dump was handed over to the President Maithripala Sirisena and according to the recommendations of the report President's Secretary Austin Fernando has instructed the Western Provincial Governor K.C Logeshwaren to hold an inquiry over the incident it has been revealed.
To conduct the requisite inquiry Colombo Municipal Commissioner was removed from the Post the Governor Logeshwaren has stated.

Four Police Officers Were Arrested Over Keeping An Expensive "Conch Shell"(Valampuri)In Their Possession
Police have arrested four Police officers
including a Deputy Inspector and three Constables attached to the Hikkaduwa Police Over illegally keeping an expensive Conch Shell (Walampuri) in their possession today (02 ) at Hikkaduwa area.
The arrest was made under the instructions of Assistant Superintendent of Police in Galle.
The suspected Police Officers had grabbed the "Conch Shell"which worth more than Rs.10 million from a group of persons who had planned to auction it at market in Hikkaduwa it has been revealed.
The suspected Police Officers have been handed over to Galle Police and they are due to be produced before the Galle Magistrate Court tomorrow(02).
