The former economic development minister Basil Rajapakshe has this morning arrived at Presidential Commission Of Inquiry to give a statement regarding an allegation leveled against him on misusing of money and public property.
The Presidential Commission is currently taking a statement from the former minister Basil Rajapakshe regarding illegally using Sri Lanka Air Force helicopters for internal travels and misusing Rs.15 million belonging to "Gama Naguma"project it has been reported.

Sri Lanka Navy Detained Six Indian Fishermen While Illegally Fishing In Sri Lankan Waters
Sri Lanka Navy have yesterday(09) detained six Indian Fishermen along with their trawler while illegally fishing in Sri Lankan waters in north of Thalaimannar(In Northern Province).
The detained fishermen who left from South Indian City of Rameswaram on Wednesday along with 3000 other fishermen were detained and handed over to the fisheries inspector in Thalaimannar for future course of action according to the Navy.

During First Five Months Of This Year 135 HIV/AIDS Positives Detected From The Country
During first six months of this year from January to May 135 HIV /AIDSPositives have been detected from the island according to director of National Sexually Transmitted Diseases.AIDS Control Programme Dr.Sisira Liyanage.
The majority of these HIV Positives were males of the age group 25-45 Dr.Liyanage has stressed.
