Finance Minister Left India To Attend An International Seminar
The Minister Of Finance Ravi Karunanayake has left India to attend a three day International Seminar conducted by International Monetary Fund.
The Conference will be held in New Delhi from 11-13 of March and around 400 delegates including Finance Ministers of Asia and Pacific Countries,Bank Heads and Economists according to source.
The Economic Challenges of the Region and Solutions For Them are due to be discussed at the Seminar.

A Review Committee On Progress Of Medicinal Drugs Has Been Appointed By The Health Ministry
A Review Committee on Progress Of Medicinal Drugs has been appointed by the Ministry Of Health ,Nutrition And Indigenous Medicine in view of supplying necessary stocks of Drugs to Government Hospitals and Drug Stores without any Shortage .
The Review Committee headed by Director General Of Health Services Dr.Palitha Mahipala is comprised of members of the State Pharmaceuticals Corporation,State Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Corporation,Independent Medical Authority,Medical Supplies Division and Ministry Of Health.
The Review Committee will work on to take steps to avoid drug shortages,solving tender related problems and to regularize the Drug Supplies.

Twenty Persons With A Haul Of Illegally Harvested Sea Cucumbers Detained At Pallekuda Beach
Sri Lankan Navy Personal have last Wednesday (09) arrested 20 persons with a haul of 220 Kilo Grammes Of Sea Cucumbers harvested illegally in Pallekuda Beach Area(Northern Province).
However the detained persons were released per the instruction of Assistant Director Of Fisheries in Kilinochchi while the haul of Sea Cucumbers has been handed over to Assistant Director Of Fisheries according to Navy Media Unit.
Meanwhile in another incident Sri Lanka Navy Personal have arrested two persons along with a haul of 621 Kilo Grammes Of Sea Cucumbers in their possession at Kirimundalam in Kalpitiya last Wednesday.
The haul of Sea Cucumbers worth around Rs.10 Million had been smuggled from India via Sea Route by using small fishing craft according to Navy.
The detained persons and the haul of Sea Cucumbers were handed over to the Assistant Fisheries Inspector's Office in Puttalam for a legal action.
