Around 15,000 Abortions Are Being Performed In Sri Lanka Annually-Ministry Of Health
Around 15,000 Abortions are being performed in Sri Lanka annually and 10 females who are subjected to Abortions die due to the complications occur according to the Ministry Of Health,Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine.
The suicide rate among Pregnant Mothers here is on the increase and around 50 Pregnant Mothers have died in 2013 due to suicides the Ministry has stated.
Poverty,Malnutrition,Domestic Problems,Violence,Fatigue and Body Changes have been identified as the main causes for Suicides among Pregnant Mothers according to the Health Ministry.

Former Minister Of Economic Development Basil Rajapakshe And Former Divi Naguma Director General Released On Bail By The Court
The former Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapakshe and former Director General of Divi Naguma Department R.R. K Ranawake have been released today(10) on bail by the Colombo High Court over the allegations leveled against them on misappropriation of Divi Naguma Funds.
However they are banned from traveling abroad and Colombo High Court has taken their passports under Court's Custody.
The case filed against the above mentioned is due to be taken to consideration on 22nd of July.

Five Imprisoned Persons Including Former President's Second Son Yoshitha Have Been Further Remanded By Kaduwela Magsitrate
The five persons including Yoshitha Rajapakshe the second son of former president Mahinda Rajapakshe who are in remand for Money Laundering Charges have been further remanded until 24th of March by the Kaduwela Magistrate Court short while ago.
The five accused have been remanded further after they were produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate Court today(10).
Former President's second son Yoshitha Rajapakshe and four others attached to the Private Television Channel Carlton Sports Network (CSN) were arrested and remanded over money laundering charges.
The bail application filed behalf of them by their Attorneys is due to be taken to consideration by Colombo High Court on next Monday(14).
