Government Hospital Nurses To Join The Island Wide Strike Action Due To Be Launched By Government,Semi Government And Private Sector Employees On 15th Of December
The President Of All Ceylon Nurses Union Gamini Kumarasinghe has told today at a Press Briefing held in Colombo ,The Government Hospital Nurses will launch an Island Wide Token Strike on 15th of December by demanding to reinstate the Government Workers concessions abolished through the 2016 Budget Proposals ,Solving the Salary Anomalies of Health Workers and allocate more money for the Health Sector through the Budget.
The All Ceylon Nurses Union had already launched a leaflet duistribution campaign in Government Hospitals to make awareness on these demands among nurses he has said.The union has also launched Protest Campaigns in front of major government hospitals from today by demanding solutions for the said demands .

One female was killed and seven others injured as the Van they were traveling in toppled on Southern Expressway this morning on their way to Galle(In Southern Province) from Kottawa(In Colombo) according to Police.

The van belonging to Agriculture And Agrarian Insurance Board has toppled near 73 K.M Post at Elpitiya(In Southern Province) Area.The deceased female was a 28 year old Agriculture Officer from Ratnapura District
The injured were admitted to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital..
The Elpitiya Police have arrested Diver of The Van regarding the accident.

Ministry Of Transport To Fine Rs.5000 From Train Passengers Travelling Without A Ticket With Immediatte Effect
The fine charged from Train Passengers who are traveling without a Ticket has been earlier increased from Rd.900 to Rs.2500 on 2013.
The increased fine will also effect for those Train Passengers who are traveling in First Class Compartments with Second Class or Third Class Tickets .
