Due to the hot weather prevails in the island at present Forest fires have been reported from 30 areas in the island during last 10 days according to the Disaster Management Center(DMC).

The only male Zebra lived in the country has died at the Dehiwala Zoo yesterday (14) according to the sources.He died whilst transporting from Safari park in Ridiagama to Dehiwala Zoo it has been reported.
