The Temperatures In Four Provinces To Be Increased

The Department Of Meteorology has,announced  that the temperature in some areas belongs to four Provinces and a district  will increase upto  Caution  level  today (02) .Accordingly the temperatures  in  some places at Western,North Western ,Southern and Sabaragamuwa  Provinces  as,well as in  Mannar District will be increased the Department  has stated..


Due to this situation those who arw working on job sites need to be hydrated by dribking adequate amount of  water and taking frequent breaks the Department has,stated..General public is being advised to lookafter an e ldetly people and children during thehot weather.Season.



 

STF Officials Arrested A Person In Possession Of A Tusk

 The Special Police task Force (STF ) Personal had arrested  a Person in possession of  a piece of tusk at Hariyaya area in Ambalanthota( Southern  Province) yesterday (01).The suspect had cut the 04 meter long tusk from a dead tusker  according to the Police.

The suspect is  a 29 year old 


of  mamadala area in Ambalanthota it has been reported.Thr suspect was handed over to the Wild life office in Kotiyagala area by the  Special Police Task Force office .

CID Arrested Additional Secretary Of Health Ministry Over Low Quality Injection Purchase

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) had arrested the additional secretary to the Ministry of Health Dr.Saman Ratnayake yesterday(01) over cheating millions of rupees when purchasing low quality Human immunoglobulin Injection vials to government hospitals under the Indian credit line.


The Adfitional Secretary to the Health Ministry was questioned for hours  by the CID over the purchasing of low quality injection vials before being arrested it has been reported.The former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella along with number of Health Ministry and Medical.Supplies Division Officials  were already arrested and remanded over the incident.

Court Ordered To Arrest Medical Officer Of MSD Over Low, Quality Drug Purchase

 Maligakande Magistrate Court has issued  a warrant to arrest Dr.Jayanath Buthpitiya attached to the.Medical supplies division who had gone abroad  over the purchasing of low quality Human immunoglobulin Injection vials to Government hospitals.


Dr .Buthpitiya has been reported as gone  abroad when he was requested to give a statement regarding the low quality Injection  import .Meanwhile Criminal Investigations Department (CID) had also inforned the additional secretary to the Dr.Saman Ratnayake to appear before CID to give a statement on the purchasing of low quality human immunoglobulin injection vials.

Maligakanda Magistrate had further remanded the suspects who are  already imprisioned over the issue including former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella until 14 th of Matxh.

Ministry Of Education Issues A Circular On Reducing School Bag Weight

 The Ministry Of Education has issued a circular to all school principals regarding the reducing of weight of the School bag used by the school children

by the secretary to  the Education Ministry and  contains the necessary guidelines to reduce the weight of School bag was issued after the health units have highlighted that the school children may dace serious health issues including spinal cord disorders due to the heavy weight of the bag. A Person Was Injured Due To Gun Shooting In Colombo

A person was injured and hospitalized due to a gun shooting occurred at Jampatah Street i in Colombo yesterday(25).The injured was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital for treatment.


Two unidentified gunmen arrived from Motorcycle opened fire at the victim anf fled away from the area accordng to te Police.Polive have launched  an investigation in search of the gunmen it has been reported
