Navy Arrested 23 Indian Fishermen In Northern Seas

 Sri Lanka Navy had arrested 23 Indian Fishermen along with two trawlers they were in poaching off the Delft Island in Northetn Sri Lanka last Saturday(03).Navy had arrested them during their regular petrol conducted in Northern seas .


The arrested Indian fishermen and their trawlers were brought to the Kankasanthurai Harbor and latet they were handed over to the Mailadi Fisheries Inspector for a legal action.

Former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella Has Been Remanded

 The Former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella who was,arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID)  has been remanded untill 15th of February by the Maligakande Magistrate Court yesterday (15) after being produced  before the court .


Earlier he was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) after being questioned nearly 11 hours over the purchasing of sub standerd Human Immunoglobulin Injection vials to hospitals.

However soon after receiving the remand order from the court the former Health Minister has been admitted to the Prison Hospital in Welikada over a complaint made by him.

Former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella Was Arrested

The former Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwellahad been arrested by the Criminl.Investigations Department (CID) today(02) after being questioned nearly 22 hours it has been reported.




 The former Health Minister who is the current Enviornment Minister of the Cabinet was arrested over importing of sub standard Human Immunoglobulin Injection vials trough the indian credit line which caused few patienr deaths.Five persons imcluding the former Health Ministry secretery Janaka Sri Chandragupta are currently in jail.over the scandal.

Army Personal Involved In Health Care Services In Govt Hospitals

Sri Lanka Army has deployed it's personal in government hospitals yesterday (01) due to the island wide strike action launched by 72 Health trade unions by demanding DAT allowance paid to the doctors .


Health profesdions including Para medics,Professions Supplementery to medicine and Minor staff attached to the  government hospitals are participating this strike which is being continued in govt hospitals  today(02) as well.



 

Nine Arrested Over Protestibg InFront Of CID Released On Bail

 Nine activists arrested whilst protesting  in front of the Criminial Investigations Department (CID) headquarters in Colombo demanding  the arrest of former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella last wrdnesday (31) were released on bail yesterday (01).


The nine activists were released on bail after being  produced  before Colombo Fort Magistrate Court yesterday.They were arrested by the Police after a group of activists formed keheliya go gama snd protested in front  of CID headquarters .
