Prices Of An Imported Indian Eggs To Be Increased
The Price of an Eggs imported from India and sold through State owned Sathosa (CWE) outlets had been increased by Rs.8 with effect from today (21) according to the Minister Of Trade,Commerce and Food Security Nalin Fernando.Accordingly the Price of an Indian egg will be increased to Rs.43 from Rs.35 the Minister has stated.
The price revision has been implemented fue to the VAT increase the Minister has said.Prices of local eggs are being currenly sold at Rs.45 to Rs.64 per an egg in the local market.
Police Arrested A King Coconut Trader Over Assaulting A,Foreign Female
Habaraduwa Police had arrested a 44 year old person selling king coconuts (Thambili) over assaulting a foreign female at Dalawella,area in Unawatuna (Southern Province).

Service Of Another 51 CEB Employees Suspended
The Ceylon Electricity Board management has suspended the services of 51 Employees over attending the protest campaign held by the Joint Trade Union Alliance of the Board against the new Electricity Act.
Accordingly the service of 66 Ceylon Electricity Board Employees who attended the protest had been suspended by the CEB Management upto now it has been revealed. Navy Arrested 11 Persons With 66 Kg Of Heroin In Possession
The Sri Lanka Navy had arrested 11 persons in possession of 66 Kilo Grammes of Heroin in Southern Sea waters at dondara according to the Navy sources.
