CEB Cancelled All Leave Of It's Employees

The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) had cancelled all leave of it's employees with effect from yesterday (02) due to the three day  protest campaign they are due to be launched from tpday(03).


All Ceylon Electricity Board employees have decided to launch a three day protest campaign from today against the new Electricity Act introduced by the government .

Colombo-Badulla,Road Blocked Due To A Soil Mound Collapse

 Due to a soil mound fallen into the    Colombo-Badulla 99 Road near the Haldummulla city in Badulla District , The transport activities of the road are being  crippled completely according to the Haldummulla Police.


As a result of the heavy showers prevailing in the area huge roxks along with a soil mound collapsed into theCoombo-Badulla 99 road it has been reported.The removal.of rocks and soil mound collapased into the road is currently underway according to reports.

Health Minister Requested Public To Adapt Covid Health Guidelines Again

 Minister of Health and Industries Dr.Ramesh Pathirana has made a Special appeal from the public yesterday (02) to follow  covid health guidelines adapted during covid epidemic due to the new Covid varient JN.1 spreading in India at present.


The Health Ministry is closely monitoring the new covid varient JN.1 which is a varient of interest according to the World Health Organization (WHO) spreading in India at present.The Minister has made these remarks during a press briefing held yesterday (02).

Highest Vegetable Prices In Recent History Recorded Yesterday (02)

The highest vegetable prices ever  recorded  in the country in recent history  has been reported Yesterday (02) due to the low supply and higher demand during the  festive season according to the Paliyagoda Manning Public Trade Association .


Accordingly A Kilo of Tomatoes were sold to Rs.600 ,A kilo of Beans Rs.600 A Kilo of Carrots Rs.600 A Kilo of Green chilies sold to Rs.500 ,A kilo of Brinjals sold to Rs. 500 The Association has stated.The reduced harvest occurred as a result of lack of rain is also caused this situation according to the sources.
