Five Were Killed -Twelve Injured After A Tree Fallen Into A Bus




Five passangers were killed and Twelve hers were injured and hospitalized due to a huge tree that fallen into a Passanger bus bound to Deniyaya area in Matara District (Southern Province) near Liberty plaza junction in Colpetty (Colombo) this morning (06) 

The deceased  who were all males had  succumbed to their injuries  after admission to Accident service of the Colombo National Hospital .

The Passanger Bus which arrived in Colombo from Deniyaya had faced this incident when on it's way to Deniyaya according to the Police .Police along with triforces personal had rescued the Passangers who were trapped inside the Bus and transported them to the Hospital.

Police had closed the Road near the Liberty plaza,junction in Colpetty afer the incident for traffic and Motorists are being advised to use an alternative routes when travelling.

All The Lawyers In North Staged A Walkout

 All lawyers in the  Northern province had staged a walkout yesterday (03) by demanding a formal inquiry on the threats received by the  Mulathivu Magistrate T,Saravanaraja  .


Accordingly all the Lawyers in Jaffna,Mannar,kilinochchiMulathivu  and vavuniya districts of the  Northern province staged a,walkout by crippling the entire judiciary in the  province it has been reported.As a result of this trade union action court cases scheduled to be taken up for hearing  had been  postponed.
