NBRO Issued Landslide Warnings To Five Districts

 The National Building Research Organization (NBRO)  had issued landslide warnings to five districts in the island due to the heavy showers prevailing in the country.


Accordingly NBRO had issued landslide warnings to several divisional secretariets in  Galle,Kalutara,Kegalle,Matara and Ratnapura districts.Those lives in hill areas too are need to be vigilant over the prevailing adverse weather conditions NBRO had stated.

Meanwhile Meteorology Department had stated occasional showers will be occurred in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces as well as in Galle and Matara Districts.

Citizrns Power Group Lodged A Police Complaint On Asia Cup Final

The Citizens Power Group against Freud and Corruption had yesterday(18) lodged a complaint at Police headquarters in Colombo fort requesting to probe on whether the Sri Lsnka Cricket Team involved in  Match fixing during the Asia cup Cricket final played in R.Premadasa stadium in Coombo last Sunday (17).


The complaint lodged by the Citizens group had  stated that they suspect that there may have  been  a match fixing during the final match due to  the way Sri lanka cricketers had behaved.

Meanwhile the main opposition Samagijanabalawegaya (SJB) ,public as well as the social media groups had also demanded an inquiry on the Asia cup final played in Colombo .

Thirty Students Were Hospitalized Due To A Food Poisioning

 Around 30 students attached to a School in Ratnapura District had been hospitalized  in Mawanalla area due to  a food poisioning incident yesterday(18) according to the Police.


The Group of students who were returning to their school after attending a sports meet in Deegana area,Kandy had fallen sick and admitted to Mawanalla Hospital it has been revealed The condition of the sstudents is not critical the sources have stated.



Sri.Lanka To Receive 2000 Yellow Fever Vaccines

 Sri Lanka is due to receive around  2000 Yellow fever vaccines which are out of stock at the moment  by next week according to the Ministry of Health.


Nearly 5000 Sri lankans who are scheduled  to travel to African countries are in the queue to get this vaccine the Ministry has stated.Sri Lanka will be received yellow fever vaccines through UNICEF it has been revealed.
