Sri.Lanka To Receive 2000 Yellow Fever Vaccines

 Sri Lanka is due to receive around  2000 Yellow fever vaccines which are out of stock at the moment  by next week according to the Ministry of Health.


Nearly 5000 Sri lankans who are scheduled  to travel to African countries are in the queue to get this vaccine the Ministry has stated.Sri Lanka will be received yellow fever vaccines through UNICEF it has been revealed.

A Six Year Old Child Was Killed Due To A Gun Shooting

 A Six year old girl was killed and her father was crtically injured after few individuals arrived in a Motorcycle had fired gun shors at the Three whealer they were travelling in near the Maligakande Magistrate Court in Maradana (Colombo District) last evening (17).


The Critically injured child had succumbed to her injuries after admission to Colombo National Hospital and her father is still receiving treatment at the hospital in critical condition it has been revealed .Police believe the father of the deceased child may be the target of the shooters ,However the reason behind the gun shooting has not yet been revealed.

Maradana Police are investigating on the incident .

Unidentified Gunmen Fired Gun Shots At MP Uddika Premaratne"s Vehicle

 Few Unidentifed persons arrived in a Van had fired gun shots at the Van in which the  Former Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna,MP and Actor Uddika Premaratne was travelling in near his father's house at Airport road in Anuradhapura District it has been reported.


MP Premaratne was escaped unhurt from the incident.The  gunmen had  fled away the scene after the gun shooting  and Anuradhapura Headquarter Police are investigating on the incident.The reason behind the gun shooting has not yet been revealed.

Twenty Two Persons Were Injured Due To Bus Collision

 Twenty two Persons including Twenty one students and a Teacher had been injured and admitted to the Padukka Provincial Hospital after the Bus they were travelling  in colliding with another Bus at Thunnana area in Padukka(Colombo) yesterday (15) according to the Police.


The incident occurred when a Bus had collided with the rear side of another pssanger bus travelling from  Narammala to Homagama  area it has been revealed.Eighteen out of the Twenty One who were  injured and hospitalized had received minor injuries and  three of the injured students had been transferred to Homagama Base Hospital for further treatment Police had stated.

Padukka Police had arrested the driver of the Bus responsible for the accident over the incident
