Government Reduced The Prices Of Diesel .Petrol And Kerosene Oil

 Government had reduced the prices of Petrol ,Diesel and Kerosene Oil with effect from midnight tonight (29) amidst the island wide trade union action launched by the employees attached to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC).eco energy green pump fuel

Accordingly the Price of a Liter of Octane 92 Petrol will be reduced by Rs.60 ,A Liter of Octane-95 Petrol will  be reduced by Rs.135 ,A liter of White Diesel will be reduced by Rs.80 and Super diesel liter by Rs.45 the CPC Had announced.A Liter of Kerosene Oil had also reduced by Rs,10 

According to the new price reduction the new prices of Octane -92 petrol is Rs.340 ,A liter of Octane -95 Petrol is Rs.375.A Liter of White Diesel is Rs,325 and a liter of Super Diesel is Rs.465 /The Liter of Kerosene Oil is Rs.295 .

Employees of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) had commenced an island wide trade union action against the cabinet decision taken to handover the   monopoly of the CPC to three foreign companies.

According to the Minister sufficient stocks of Fuel is available in the country at present ,Therefore there's no need to panic over a shortage .However queues can be seen in front of Fuel stations these days due to the fuel shortage according to the reports.

 One of the most popular Veteran Musicians and Singers produced by  Sri Lanka Sangeetha Nipun Professor /Visharada,Sanath Nandasiri had passed away this morning (28) at the age of 81 .

Peofessor Nandasiri who had served as the chancellor of the University of Aesthetic Studies in Colombo.was one of the pioneer musicians Produced by Sri Lanka and sung many melodious songs during his  six decade long  career including  Samugannedo,Mamanam asai ahanna nayana,Wasana wewa,Dangakara oya,dasa ,Mululowa magen asawi,Du Anuradha,Yashodara,Mage ratata,dalada himi saranai,Awilunu ginidal and Sovin piri mage hadawatha songs .

His funeral is due to take place at Borella cemetary on this saturday evening (01).

May he attain supreme bliss of nibbana.






CPC Trade Union Launched An Islandwide Trade Union Action

Employees attached to Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) are being launched an Island wide trade union action as a protest against  the government's decision to handover the monopoly of CPC to three companies in China,Australia and USA .


Due to the trade union of CPC Employees ,Filling of fuel to the Bowsers had been stopped and fuel shortage has been occurred usland wide as a result.

Earlier Ceylon Petroleum Corporation employees had conducted  a,Satgyagraha campaign in front of the Coroporation's head office in colombo against the government's decision .
