A 43 Year Old Person Was Shot Dead In Elpitiya
The unidentified gunman had entered the shop and fired shots at the deceased .Police are investigating on the incident .

Police have today(14) arrested seven suspects over stealing an ATM Mechine belongs to a Private Bank in Gampola area recently .
The Police have recovered the stolen ATM machine along with a pistol in possession of the suspects .The pistol found in possession of the suspects had been stolen from the Puttalam District MP Ali Sabri whose house was torched during the "Aragalaya " protest held in Galle face last year the Police have stated ,
Public Utilities Commission Members Approved 66 Percent Electricity Bill Hike - Chairman Opposed
The three members of the Public Utilities Commission had opposed the 36 percent Electricity bill increase proposed by the Chairman of the Commission and approved a proposal suggesting 66 percent Bill increase which will be a burden to the consumers according to the chairman of the Public Utilities Commission Janaka Ratnayake .
The 66 percent increase of the Electricity bill will be implemented with effect from tomorrow(15) Public Utilities Commission has stated ,Due to the approved proposal of increasing the electricity bill by 66 percent the Electricity Consumers have to bear an extra cost of Rs.287 billion annually .There will be a 250 percent increase on Electricity bills for those who are utilizing less then 90 units of Electricity monthly he has further added ,

A Sri Lankan Female Had Died Due To Earthquake In Turkey
A 69 year old Sri Lankan female resided in Turkey has been reported as died due to the massive earthquake which hit Turkey and Syria last Monday (06)..
The deceased female's body had been recovered from the site and was identified by her daughter according to the Sri Lankan embassy i Turkey .The deceased female had migrated to Turkey twenty years back from Galagedara area in Kandy city (Central Province ).
Five Building Had Been Damaged Due To A Fire Erupted At A Coir Manufacturing Factory
Five buildings had been severely damaged due to a sudden fire broken out at a Coir manufacturing factory at Miriswatte area on Katana-Divulapitiya main road at Katana Police division (Western Province) .Five fire engines and five water bausers are being deployed to douse,the fire it had been reported.
The fire engines had managed to douse the flames of one building by noon according to reports .However no casualties have been reported as a result of the fire the reports have stated.
Katana Police are currently investigating on the Incident .
