Two Persons Have Been Arrested With A Stock Of "Ice" Narcotic

 Police Anti Narcotics Bureau officials had today (09) arrested two persons with a two Kilo Grammes of "Ice Narcotic at Kalpitiya Area (North Western Province).

The estimated value of the stock of "Ice " taken in to custody in possession of the suspects is around Rs.35 million the Police have stated.The suspects are due to be produced before the court .

Private Bus Owners Want Diesel Prices To Be Reduced Further

 If the Government can reduce the price of Diesel by another Ten rupees ,Bus ticket prices can be reduced according to the President of the Ceylon Private Bus Owners Association Gamunu Wijeratne .

If there's no price revision of Diesel then reducing Bus ticket prices will be not possible he has stated .Bus ticket prices can be reduced based on Supplying sufficient  stocks of Fuel to Buses and introduction of Electronic card he has further stated ,Ceylon Petroleum Corporation and Lanka Indian Oil Company had reduced the price of a Liter of Auto Diesel by Rs.15 on 02nd of January .

Cabinet Has Approved A Proposal To Increase Electricity Bill

Cabinet has today (09) approved the proposal submitted by Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekare to increase the Electricity Bill again ,But not yet decided the date which the increased Electricity bill will be implemented .

Cabinet has also approved a proposal made through the Cabinet paper to introduce a price formula to  the Electricity Bill .The approved Cabinet paper is scheduled to be produced before the Public utilities commission for approval.

Two Carriages Of The Colombo-Fort -Kandy Bound Train Derailed

 The two carriages of the   Colombo Fort-Kandy bound Intercity Train had derailed yesterday (07) when it entered the Kandy Train dockyard after it's daily travel schedule.

Accordingly the derailed Carriages had  collided with another Carriage parked at the dockyard and that Carriage too got damaged as a result of the collision .
