Sri Lanka's Immigration-Emigration Department officials at Katunayake Bndaranaike International Airport had arrested and deported two Iranian nationals who had attempted to enter the country with fake Norwegian passports last morning (17).
The two suspects had arrived in Sri Lanka via Kuwait it has been revealed . The suspects who are engaged in Music and Photography industry in Iran had got the two fake Norwegian Passports through a broker in Turkey for 10,000 Euros per a Passport the preliminary investigation held regarding the incident has revealed .
Around 38 Aviation Controllers had gone abroad during last few months due to the economic difficulties they faced with as a result of the current economic crisis according to the Ministry of Ports,Shipping and Civil Aviation .
Those Aviation Controllers had left the country for jobs in other countries due to the payment of higher salaries and perks it has been reported ,To fill the vacancies created due to the those controllers the Ministry of Ports and Shipping had recruited around 25 new Aviation controllers to the Airline field the Ministry has stated ,
Two youth (A boy and a girl )were killed and another was injured and hospitalized after colliding with a Train traveling from Maradana to Kalutara South at Dehiwala(Colombo) train station yesterday (17).
The deceased youth and the injured one along with 09 other students attached to Balapitiya Vocational Training Institute had traveled to see Dehiwala Zoo by a Train and when the three youth had attempted to cross the railway line they have been knocked down by the running train it has been revealed .
