38 Local Avaiation Controllers Had Left For Foreign Jobs

 Around 38 Aviation Controllers had gone abroad during last few months due to the economic difficulties they  faced with as a result of the current economic crisis according to the Ministry of Ports,Shipping and  Civil Aviation .

Those Aviation Controllers had left the country for  jobs in other countries due to the payment of  higher salaries and perks it has been reported ,To fill the vacancies created due to the those controllers  the Ministry of Ports and Shipping had recruited around 25 new Aviation controllers to the Airline field   the Ministry has stated ,

Two Youth Were Killed And Another Injured Due To Collision With A Train

Two youth (A boy and a girl )were killed and another was injured and hospitalized after colliding with a Train traveling from  Maradana to Kalutara South   at Dehiwala(Colombo) train station yesterday (17).

The deceased youth and the injured one along with 09 other students attached to Balapitiya Vocational Training Institute had traveled to see Dehiwala Zoo by a Train and when the three youth had attempted to cross the railway line they have been knocked down by  the running train it has been revealed .

Bread Price To Be Reduced By Rs..10

 The price of a loaf of Bread has been reduced by Rs.10 with effect from midnight tonight (17) according to the All Ceylon  Bakery Owners Association .

Accordingly the new price of a loaf of Bread will be Rs.180 .

Price Of Cakes To Be Increased Due To The Price Hike Of Eggs

 Due to the  price hike  of an Eggs ,The price of Cakes selling in the Market also .needed    to be increased  during the upcoming festive season according to the All Ceylon Bakery  Owners Association.

Egg prices in the market  are on the increase after the Court of  appeal has suspended the Gazette notification  issued on 19th of August to control the price of Eggs .Egg prices are on the increase due to the Egg shortage created by the Egg manufacturers the Association  has stated.

Buddhist And Pali University Has Been Closed

 Sri Lanka Buddhist And Pali University at Pitipana area in Horana (Western province)will be closed down temporarily with effect from next Monday (19) according to the University authorities .

Accordingly all the University Students who are at the hostels of the University had been advised to vacate the premises before 4 p.m today (16).The reason behind the closure of the University has not tet been given .
