Use Of Narcotic "Ice"Among School Children Is On The Increase

 The use of dangerous Narcotic Drug "Ice ' among School Children are on the rise according to the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board .


Due to this situation parents Nedd to pay more attention towards their kids ,people they are being associated with and children's behaviours the Board has stated.

Government Servents To Return To Work In Official Attire

 Every public servant in the government sector should be reported to the work in official attire from this week  according to the State  Ministry of Provincial Councils and Local Government .


The relevant Circular regarding this is scheduled to be released in  this week the State Minister Janaka Wakkumbura has stressed.Government is encouraging the public servents to return to work in pre covid pandemic dress code based on institutional policies he has stated. 

A confusion had arisen after Government teachers in many areas of the country had returned to school in various dress codes last week citing they cannot bear the  increased Saree prices .

Another Cabinet Paper To Increase The Electricity Bill

 A Cabinet paper has been submitted to the Cabinet to increase the Electricity bill again the  Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana


Wijesekare has informed the Parliament.

To ensure a 24 hour long Electricity supply in the country there's a need to increase the Electricity Bill and the increased bill rate in last August is not sufficient enough to cover the profit loss of the Electricity Board  faced at present Minister Wijesekare has stated.

Protests Against Privatising Sri Lanka Telecom

According to the Telecom Trade Unions which organized these protests have stated that selling of a profitable institution like Telecom cannot  be accepted .Telecom trade unions have  also stated that they will not allow to privatize the institution .
