A 29 year old female was killed whilst traveling in a bus during a gun shooting occurred at Danowuta area (Western Province) this morning (02) according to the Police .The critically injured female had died upon admission to the Wathupitiwala Hospital and two others were injured and hospitalized due to the gunshot injuries .

High Security zones .
Many Individuals as well as Organizations had criticized this Gazette notification and many petitions had been filed in the Supreme Court against this move since last week .
Accordingly the new price of a liter of Octane -92 Petrol is Rs.410 and the Price of a liter of Octane-95 Petrol is Rs.510 the Ministry of Power and Energy had announced.
Government has reduced the prices of Octane -92 and Octane-95 Petrol by Rs.40 and Rs.30 respectively with effect from midnight yesterday (01).
