A Female Was Killed Due To Gun Shot Injuries In Danowita
The deceased female was shot whilst traveling in the bus when the Police had fired gun shots to arrest a group of persons who had attempted to rob a liquor store in Danowita area it has been reported .,
A 29 year old female was killed whilst traveling in a bus during a gun shooting occurred at Danowuta area (Western Province) this morning (02) according to the Police .The critically injured female had died upon admission to the Wathupitiwala Hospital and two others were injured and hospitalized due to the gunshot injuries .
Sri Lankan President Revoked The Extra Ordinary Gazette Notification Issued On High Security Zones
Sri Lanka'n been President Ranil Wikramasinghe had yesterday (01) issued a new Extra ordinary Gazette notification to revoke the Extra Ordinary Gazette notification issued last week declaring around 16 places in Colombo city as high security zones .
President Wikramasinghe had issued an Extraordinary Gazette Notification on 23rd of September declaring 16 places of significance including President's House ,President's Secretariat.The Supreme Court complex ,Prime Minister's Official residence "Temple Trees " ,Colombo Magistrate Court complex and Attorney General's Department Building and their surrounding areas as High Security zones .
Many Individuals as well as Organizations had criticized this Gazette notification and many petitions had been filed in the Supreme Court against this move since last week .
Petrol Prices Has Been Reduced
Accordingly the new price of a liter of Octane -92 Petrol is Rs.410 and the Price of a liter of Octane-95 Petrol is Rs.510 the Ministry of Power and Energy had announced.
Government has reduced the prices of Octane -92 and Octane-95 Petrol by Rs.40 and Rs.30 respectively with effect from midnight yesterday (01).

Two Octane -92 Dispensers At A Fuel Station Had Been Sealed
Officers attached to the Public Utilities Commission had yesterday (29) sealed two Octane-92 Fuel dispensers at a Fuel station in Colombo -07 over s short delivery of Fuel the Commission had stated .
Accordingly two out of the three Octane-92 Fuel Dispensers at the Fuel station owned by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) were sealed as the Filling Station had saved 1.2 percent of Petrol from a liter worth Rs.540 the Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission Janaka Ratnayake had stated .
