Sri Lanka'n been President Ranil Wikramasinghe had yesterday (01) issued a new Extra ordinary Gazette notification to revoke the Extra Ordinary Gazette notification issued last week declaring around 16 places in Colombo city as high security zones .
President Wikramasinghe had issued an
Extraordinary Gazette Notification on 23rd of September declaring 16
places of significance including President's House ,President's
Secretariat.The Supreme Court complex ,Prime Minister's Official
residence "Temple Trees " ,Colombo Magistrate Court complex and
Attorney General's Department Building and their surrounding areas as
High Security zones .
Many Individuals as well as Organizations had criticized this Gazette notification and many petitions had been filed in the Supreme Court against this move since last week .
