Few Imported Fertilizer Prices To Be Reduced From Tomorrow (21)
Fertilizer Import Companies had decided to reduced the Prices of few Imported varieties of Fertilizer including Urea and Tea Fertilizer with effect from tomorrow (21).
Accordingly the Fertilizer Import Companies had decided to reduce the price of a 50 Kilo Gramme Urea Fertilizer Bag by Rs,10,000 and a Tea Fertilizer Bag by Rs.1000 with effect from tomorrow .Fertilizer Companies had decided to reduce the prices of Imported fertilizer as a result of the price reduction in the world market it has been announced.
Health Minister To Hold Talks With Pad Man In India To Start A Pad Manufacturing Project Here
Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwella had today (20) informed the Parliament that He is holding talks with the Indian Entrepreneur Arunachalam Muruganathan popularly known as Pad Man regarding starting a Sanitary pad manufacturing project here due to the enormous difficulties faced by school girls when purchasing these pads as a result of the higher taxes imposed on Sanitary pad packs .
As the price of Sanitary pad packs a goes up due to the higher import taxes imposed on them .Many school girls are being reported as skipping classes these days it has been reported .Many MP's including the Opposition Leader and the leader of Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB)Party Sajith Premadasa had raised questions in parliament today regarding the Price hike of Sanitary Pad packs which affects the school girls and other females .
When the Opposition Leader Sajith premadasa had raised the question on Sanitary pad problem faced by the estate sector females during his Presidential Campaign in 2019 ,Many MP 's in the present government who had supported former President Gotabhaya Rajapakshe's election campaign had ridiculed him .

95 Percent Of The Construction Work In The Country Has Been Halted
As a result of the shortage of Construction materials including Cement ,Sand and Bricks and the price hike of them 95 percent of the Construction work in the Island has come to halt these days according to the Sri Lanka National Constructions Association ,
Due to this situation many employees at the Construction industry are being faced with severe economic difficulties the Association had stated ,Import restrictions imposed on goods has lead to the shortage and price hike of many Construction materials the Association has stated .
One Hour Power Cut To Be Extended By Another Twenty Minutes
The Public Utilities Commission had approved a One hour and twenty minute long Island Wide Power cut for tomorrow (20) and the day after (21)due to the fuel shortage to generate power according to the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB).
Accordingly this power cut will be implemented in 20 Zones marked as A,B,C,D,E ,FG,H,I.J.K,LP,Q,R,S,T,U,V,W from 6 p.m to 10 p.m the Board has stated .
