Navy Arrested 85 Persons AttemptedTo Migrate Illegally

 Sri Lanka Navy had today (11)arrested 85 persons whilst attempting migrate to another country illegally through a boat near the sea area in Batticaloa,District .

Amongst those,arrested there were 14 females and11 Children according to the Navy.

A Female Was Killed -Six Others Injured Due To An Accident In Badulla

 A female was killed and another six persons were injured and hospitalized after the Van they were travelling in had fallen to a precipice  at Balungala area in Kappetipola (Badulla District ) today (11).

Six of the injured had  been admitted to the Welimada Base Hospital for treatment .The deceased was a 65 year old  female resided in rideegama area at Kurunagala District .The incident had occurred whilst a group of persons were on their way  to a relatives house it has been reported ,Police have suspected that the incident occurred due to the driver of the Van had fallen a sleep /.whiulst on the wheel   .     s```````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````eep

Detained Social Activist Lahiru Weerasekare Had Been Released On Bail

 Social activist and an active Member of the Galle face protest Lahiru Weerasekare who was arrested by the Maradana Police yesterday (09) over the charges of obstructing the duty of  Police officers and being a member of an illegal gathering ,had been released  on two surety bails of  Rs.200.000 each .by the  Maligakande Additional Magistrate.

Lahiru Weerasekare was produced before the   Maligakande Additional Magistrate today (10) .Earlier he was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital after being examined  by the Judicial Medical officer as  he complained that he was sick .
