President Gotabhaya Rajapakshe Didn't "Send His Resignation Letter Today (13)

 President Gotabhaya Rajapakshe who had fled from the country amidst the opposition of public in wee hours of this morning (13) had issued an Extra ordinary Gazette Notification regarding the appointment of Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe as the new acting president in Sri Lanka with effect from today  to cover duties of Executive presidency in his  absence  .

Through this Extra ordinary gazette notification President Rajpakshe had stated as he is away from the country at present  Prime Minister Wikramasinghe had been  appointed as the new Acting President to cover powers ,activities and duties of the Executive presidency ,

President Rajapakshe had last Saturday (09) announced that he will step down from presidency within today ,But up to now he has not handed over his resignation letter to the Speaker it has been reported ,President Rajapakshe had arrived in Maldives this morning along with his wife and two security officers by Sri Lanka Air Force plane and later due to flying to  Singapore as his final destination. 

Acting President Wwikramsinghe Imposed An Island Wide Curfew

 Acting President Ranil Wikramasinghe who had imposed an Island Wide state of Emergency and curfew in Western province since this Morning (13) had later imposed an Island Wide curfew until 5 a.m tomorrow (14) morning .

Acting President Wikramaisnghe had issued a gazette notification today regarding the Curfew imposed  island wide .The Island Wide Curfew had been imposed due to to the protests held in various places throughout the island .

 Prime Minister Ranil Wikramsinghe had imposed Island Wide State Of Emergency rule and Curfew in Western Province with immediate effect as the acting President after Group of protesters began a protest campaign in front of Prime Minister's office demanding his resignation from post Prime Minister's office had announced .

A group of protesters began a protest campaign in front of Prime Minister's residence at Flower Road in Colombo-07 demanding his immediate resignation .Police fired tear gas and water cannon to disperse the protesters ,However they have flocked again and still remains there it has been reported ,

President Gotabhaya Rajapakshe Had Fled To Maldives -Scheduled To Be Announced His Resignation Today (13)

 President Gotabhaya Rajapakshe who had left the  President's house due to the public uprising on 09th of July had fled  to Maldives in wee hours of this morning (13) by a Special Airforce Plane according to sources His wife and two security officers had accompanied him and the Plane carrying them was due to be  touched down Male International Airport this morning the sources have added .

However there's no confirmation on the Sri Lankan President's arrival to Male as yet .President Rajapakshe is due to resign from his post this morning after landing Maldives it has been reported ,He had already signed his resignation letter and handed over to the Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena speaker has stated .However Speaker has not yet been announced the President's resignation officially and it is expected to happen that in the course  of the day  .

President Gotabhaya Rajapakshe had attempted to flee from the country five times during yesterday and all those attempts had failed due to the disruptions of Immigration and Emigration officials it has been revealed ,However early this morning Sri lanka Airforce officers  had managed to get confirmation for the Immigration Emigration  Documents of President and his wife from  officials which enable them to  fly to Maldives . They had later went to aboard  the Antanov-32 special Airforce plane at Katunayake International Airport and left to Maldives ,Sri Lanka Airforce had confirmed .

Sri Lanka Airforce Denied Social Media Reports Of President Staying At Airforce Commander's House

 Sri Lanka Airforce had today (12) denied Social Media reports claiming President Gotabhaya Rajapakshe  is currently staying at a Private house of  Airforce Chief Air Vice Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana.

Airforce had denied Social media reports on this issue following the statement made by Former Police Officer Ajith Dharamapala the president of International Organization to Devoid Sri Lankan Police from Politics saying President is currently staying at a private house belongs to Airforce Commander .

According to the Sri Lanka Airforce the aim of spreading this kind of rumor is to tarnish the image of Airforce Commander .

Meanwhile It has been reported that  the US Embassy in Colombo had refused to issue Visas for President Gotabhaya Rajapakshe to flying to USA claiming he is not eligible to travel there frequently after giving up his dual citizenship .
