Elephant Who Had Fallen On The Cab Of The Actor Anthony After Colliding With It Fled To The Jungle -Wild Life Officials
The Elephant who had fallen on the Cab of local Actor Jackson Anthony twice after colliding with the vehicle in Thalawa area ,Anuradhapura District on last Saturday (02) had fled to the nearby Jungle after the incident Wild Life officials had stated .
Wild life officials believed the injuries received by the Elephant as a result of the Collison with the Cab are not serious as the villagers in the area had witnessed the Elephant who had fled to the jungle re-joined it's herd. eye witnesses didn't notice any difference in the walking style of Elephant according to reports ,However a team of wild life officials had been already dispatched to find the Elephant to treat him it has been revealed .
Meanwhile two neck bones of the veteran actor Jackson Anthony had been dislocated and his both lungs are said to be damaged as a result of the Cab-Elephant collision hospital sources said .The actor who was airlifted from Anuradhapura Hospital to Colombo last Saturday night due to his critical condition is now being treated at the Intensive Care Unit of the Colombo National Hospital under the supervision of a special medical team .He is due to undergo another surgery it has been reported .The Cab of the actor had badly damaged as a result of the accident .
LIOC Had Distributed Fuel To It's Stations As Fuel In State Owned Petroleum Corporation Has Dried Up
As state owned Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (Ceypetco) fuel stations had stopped issuing Fuel to consumers except essential services due to the sever fuel shortage, Lanka Indian Oil company(LIOC) had taken steps to distribute Fuel to Fuel stations belongs to the Company through the Fuel Bowsers dispatched from it's Trincomalee Oil terminal until last Saturday night (02) it has been reported .
Fuel Bowsers belongs to Ceypetco had also been used for this Fuel distribution process LIOC had announced .LIOC had taken steps to issue fuel on limited basis since last week after Ceypetco had announced they will only issue fuel for essential services due to the shortage of fuel .However essential services too didn't receive fuel from Ceypetco owned fuel stations last Friday as announced by Ceypetco it has been reported .
Large queues can be seen in front of LIOC Fuel stations these days to get fuel .
Navy Had Arrested 75 Persons Who Had Attempted To Migrate Illegally To Australia
Sri Lanka Navy had arrested 75 Sri Lankans who had illegally attempted to migrate to Australia through a Multiple Fishing Boat at sea area in Northern Trincomalee (Eastern Province) in the wee hours of last morning (03) .
Out of these illegal migrants 51 persons including 41 males ,05 females and 05 children were arrested whilst sailing from the Boat it has been reported .Amongst the arrestees there were 06 persons who had arranged the migration to Australia according to the Navy .
Those who have arrested whilst sailing from the boat to Australia are residents of Jaffna ,Trincomalee ,Vavuniya ,Mulathivu ,Batticaloa ,Ampara ,Gampaha and Ratnapaura districts it has been revealed ,The arrested persons were handed over to the Tincomalee harbor police for further investigations
Ministry Of Education Declared This Week As A Special School Holiday
Ministry Of Education has declared this week as a special Holiday for all the Government and Private schools Island Wide due to the severe fuel shortage faced by the country the Ministry has announced .
This decision had been taken after the meeting held today (03) between Education Ministry Officials and Provincial Education directors and secretaries via Zoom technology .This special School Holiday week has been declared after considering the current fuel shortage ,paralyzed transport services and attendance of school by School children and teachers .
The school time lost due to this school holiday will be covered during the next School holiday the Ministry has stated ,
