Ceylon Electricity Board Chairman Had Resigned

 The Chairman of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) M.M.C Ferdinadu had resigned from his post following the controversial statement he has made before the COPE committee regarding the Indian Premier Narendre Singh Modi's influence on Sri  Lankan officials to handover a project to an  Indian businessman adhani.


The CEB Chairman had sent his resignation letter to Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wikesekare and he had accepted the letter it has been announced .

The Former CEB Chairman Ferdinando had later apologized on his remarks over Indian premier and announced he had withdrawn that statement he has made on Indian Premier Modi .

President Gotabaya Rajapakshe too had refused the statement made on Indian Premier ,Vice chairman of the Electricity Board Nalinda Ilangakoon had been appointed to the Chairman Post it has been revealed ,

Consumer Affairs Authority Recovered 594 Gas Cylinders Hidden Inside A House Of A Gas Dealer

 The officials of the Consumer Affairs Authority had today (12) recovered a stock 594 filled and empty Domestic LP Gas cylinders hidden inside of a warehouse belonging to a Gas dealer at Saliya Road in Anuradhpaura District (North Central Province ) during a raid carried out.




Accordingly, 540 filled and 54 empty Gas cylinders had been taken into custody during the raid the Consumer Affairs Authority has announced.A legal action is due to be taken against the Gas dealer who had hidden these Gas cylinders the Authority had stated, Consumer Affairs Authority had later  distributed the recovered Gas cylinders among the public according to reports .

A Protest In Front Of Businessman Dhammika Perera's Residence

 A group of protesters had protested in front of the house of Businessman Dhammika Perera who is due to be entered the Parliament as a National List MP from the ruling Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Party.


The group of Protesters had protested in front of the Businessman Perera's residence in Colombo 07 by demanding to pay the huge tax payments he had evaded during recent years it has been reported.

Navy Had Arrested 38 Persons Attempted To Ilegally Migrated To Australia

 Sri Lanka Navy had arrested 38 Sri Lankans who had attempted to migrate to Australia illegally at Okanda sea area in Ampara District (Eastern Province)today (12). 


Sri Lanka Navy had detained the group of persons including 06 males who had illegally organized the migration and  07 children after checking a suspicious Multiple fishing boat. Those detainees are residents of Jaffna,Valachchena ,Vavuniya ,Chilaw,Kalpitiya ,Udappuwa ,Negambo and Ja-Ela areas it has been reported ,

Sri Lanka Navy had also taken the fishing boat transport the detainees to custody .
