Two Persons Died Whilst Awaiting In Fuel Queues

 Two persons have died whilst awaiting in Queues to purchase fuel at Fuel stations in Dankotuwa and Wennappuwa areas yesterday (09) according to reports .

Accordingly The person who died in wennapuwa area had awaited in the queue  for two days it has been reported.

Landslide Warnings Issued To Eight Districts

 The National Building Research Organization (NBRO) had today (10) issued Landslide warnings to 08 Districts  as a result of the Heavy showers prevailing in the island .

Accordingly Landslide warnings had been issued to Colombo ,Badulla ,Kalutara ,Kandy ,Kegalle ,Kurunagala ,Matale and Nuwara -Eliya districts the NBRO had stated .People living in these Districts should be vigilant over signs of Landslides the Organization has stated .

Tens Of Thousands Of Protesters Who Gathered At Galle Face Yesterday (09) Still There And Protest Against The Government

 Tens of thousand of People who gathered at  Galle face green last evening (09) despite the closure of that area to the public ,are still  there and demanding the President Gotabaya Rajapakshe to resign from his post and government to step down .

Amidst Heavy showers prevailing in Colombo District since last night these protesters have surrounded the President's house and President's Secretariat in Galle Road as well as the Shangri la Hotel where some political leaders and higher officials  believes  to be staying  in due to the Public protests .

The protesters say they want all 225 members of the Parliament to go home as they never discussed the problems faced by the public including gas/fuel /milk powder shortage and increased food prices during the two day debate held on the current crisis at Parliament few days back ."Government should step down so people can appoint a people friendly government" they have stated .

Leaders Of Government Allied Parties Requested President To Remove Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakshe

 Leaders of the 11 allied Parties attached to  the Government and the Independent Group had sent a letter to President Gotabhaya Rajapakshe yesterday (09) requesting to remove Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakshe and appoint a new Cabinet representing all Political parties under a new Prime Minster   to appease the current chaotic situation  in the country .

Through this letter the Political party leaders had also requested the president to appoint a National Executive Board and proposed to go for a general election within a short period of time after appointing the new Cabinet .They have also want to restrict the number of Cabinet Ministers appointed for the new Cabinet .
