Government Set To Loose Two Third Majority In Parliament Tomorrow (05)

 Government is set to loose the two third majority they cuurently have in the Parliament  tomorrow (05) as around 80 Parliamentarians attached to the Government  have  decided to function as Independent groups when the Parliament meet tomorrow .

Accordingly around 50 MP's representing t


he ruling Sri ;Lanka Progressive Front (Podujana Peramuna ) ,another 16 MP's representing allied Parties of the government and 14 Sri Lanka Freedom Party MP's attached to the Government are due to be functioned as independent groups it has been reported .

Meanwhile former Ministers Udaya Gammanpila and Wimal Weerawanshe have stated that the Government will not only loose the two third majority in the Parliament But majority of the Parliament as well .

A Large Crowd Is Being Protested In Front Of The Presidential Secretariat

 Hundreds of Thousands of People including Civil activists ,Businessmen ,Sports personal and Artists are being currently protested in front of the Presidential Secretariat at Galle face green in Colombo  against the government it has been reported ,


The protesters are demanding to dissolve the government and hold a free election to elect a  new government .

Five State Ministers Of Sri Lanka Freedom Party Resigned From Their Posts

 Five State Ministers representing the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) in present government had tendered their resignation from State Ministerial Portfolios today (04) amidst public anger against the government .


Accordingly Five SLFP State Ministers Dr .Sudarshani Fernandopulle (State Minister for Covid Control ) ,Dasyasiri Jayasekara ,Priynakara Jayaratne ,Lasantha Alagiyawanne and Duminda Dissanayake had announced they have resigned from their Ministerial Portfolios and informed it to the President Gotabhaya Rajapakshe ,

Meanwhile SLFP Parliamentarians had decided to function as an Independent Group in the parliament when the Parliament meet tomorrow (05).

Public Protests Were Held In Several Areas Today (03)

 Although a 36 hour long Curfew and State of Emergency had been declared in the country .Several Protests were held today (03)in Colombo and outstation areas organized by the public urging President and the government to quit with immediate effect .


Several public organized protests were held this evening and night in areas like Borella ,Wijerama Road ,Rajagiriya Flyover Bridge ,Nugegoda Flyover bridge ,Negambo ,Kandana again the mismanagement of economy .

Meanwhile main opposition SAJABA and leftist Janatha Wimukthi Peramuna had organized protest campaigns in Independence Square and  Maharagama this morning amidst curfew 

Government Had Banned All Formats Of Social Media This Morning -Later Lifted The Ban

 During the ongoing Curfew All  forms of Social Media Platforms including Viber .WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram ,Twitter ,Snapchat and Tik tok had been banned in Sri Lanka this morning (03)under the   instructions of Ministry Of Defense .


However after the request made by the Chairman of Public Utilities Commission Janaka Ratnayake from the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission to lift the Social Media Ban in view of informing public on daily power cut schedules  the ban  was lifted around 3.30 p.m .

Meanwhile the Chairman of  Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) Oshada Senanayake had today resigned from his post following the Social media ban /
