Protesters In Front Of President's House Set Fire To Few Vehicles -Police Curfew Imposed In Few Areas

 The Protesters who were protested in front of the Road that leads to President' s house at Nugegoda (Colombo District ) had acted violently and set fire to few buses parked  there  including a bus belonging to Sri Lanka Army   it has been reported .


Due to the clashes occurred between protesters and forces 10 persons including few journalists had been injured    and admitted to Colombo National and South Colombo teaching hospitalist for treatment  IT  has been reported .

Police ,Srii Lanka  Army and Special Task force personal are being deployed in the area to keep law and order it has been announced .

Meanwhile Police curfew had been imposed in North Colombo .Southern and Central Colombo areas until further notice .

178 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (31)

 Another 178 Corona Positives had been reported in the country today (31) in the country ,Increasing the total number of Corona Positives reported so far to 661,631 according to the Epidemiology Unit .


At the moment 7914 Corona Positives are being treated at Hospitals ,Quarantine Centers and under home care system the Unit has stated .

A Massive Protest Is Being Held In Front Of The Road Leading To President's House

 A massive protest campaign is being launched  by thousands of people in front 0f the road leading to President Gotabaya Rajapakshe's house near Mirihana entry road In Nugegoda(Colombo District ) demanding  solutions for current crisis and resign from the President 's post ,

Nugegoda -Maharagma-19 Road had been completely blocked due to this protest it has been reported .

Police and Army officers are being deployed along with road barriers near  the entry road to prevent protesters from entering President's house at Pangiriwatte in Mirihana .Police have seen involved in arguments with protesters and forces had even used tear gas and water canons to disperse the protesters ,

However protesters who are believed to be individually organized the protest have seen continuously  protected  in front of the Mirihana entry road .President has reported as not at home during the protest it has been revealed . /

Public Utilities Commission Approved A 13 HOUR Long Power Cut

 Public Utilities Commission which has formed to benefit the consumers had done the opposite by approving a 13 hour long Power Cut for tomorrow (31)in many  areas of the Country citing  the shortage of fuel to generate electricity  .


According to the Chairman of the Commission Janaka Ratnayake the 13 hour long power cut  the longest Power cut to be implemented in a single day  here so far  , is scheduled to be  implemented by 4 to 6 hours  at a time .This Power cut will  be implemented from 3 a.m to midnight tomorrow  (31) the Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission has stated .

Meanwhile Electrical Engineers attached to Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) had warned  that if the authorities have failed  to supply Fuel to the Electricity Board continuously a need will  arise to increase the Power cut hours to 15 hours .

Four Corona Deaths Reported Today (30)

 A total number of 04 Corona deaths had been reported today (30) in the country ,Increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 16,473 the Director General Of Health Services (DGHS) has announced ,


All the deceased were males over 60 years of age the DGHS has stated .
