Indian External Affairs Minister Arrived In Sri Lanka For A State Visit

India's Minister of External Affairs S Jaishanker had arrived in Sri Lanka today (27) for a two day official visit .

Minister Jaishanker is due to hold bi lateral with President Gotabaya Rajapakshe ,Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakshe and Foreign Minister Professor G.L Pieris tomorrow (28).

Five Corona Deaths Reported By DGHS Today (27)

The Director General Of Health Services (DGHS ) had today (27) reported 05 more Corona deaths ,Increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 16,459 .

Meanwhile only 32 Corona Positives had been recovered and discharged from Hospitals and Quarantine Centers today (27) Increasing the total number of Corona Positives recovered and discharged so far to 637,119 .

Sri Lanka's Corona death rate stands at 2.49 percent and recovery rate stands as 96.40 percent according to Health Promotions Bureau .

Epidemiology Unit Reported 93 Corona Cases Today (27)-No PCR / Rapid Antigen Tests performed Yesterday (26)

Another 93 Corona Positives had been reported today (27) in the country as no PCR and Rapid Antigen tests have been performed in the country yesterday (26) according to the Epidemiology Unit .

With this number the total number of Corona Positives reported so far in the country had been increased to 660,890 the unit has stated .At the moment 7312 Corona Positives are being treated at Hospitals ,Quarantine Centers and under home care system it has been reported.

Severe Coral Breaching In Great Barrier Reef

A Motor Vehicle Had Reduced To Ashes Due To A Fire

A Motor Vehicle was reduced to ashes after catching a fire on the Baseline Flyover bridge in Dematagoda area (Colombo City )this evening (26) it has been reported .

Two parsons inside the vehicle who are residents in Kaduwela area had escaped unharmed according to police .

The incident occurred whilst the Motor car travelling from Borella to Orugodawatte area . Three fire trucks of the Fire services department in Colombo arrived at the scene and doused the fire completely However the fire brigade couldn't prevent destruction of the vehicle. According to sources The cause of the fire has not yet been identified .
