Another 29 Corona Deaths Reported Today (04)

 A Total of 29 Corona deaths had been reported today (04) in the country ,Increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 15,544 the Director General Of Health Services (DGHS ) has announced ,


Accordingly 17 males and 12 females had died due to corona infection today .Out of the deceased 25 were over 60 years of age and 04 were belonged to 30-60 year age group the DGHS has stated ,

1243 Corona Positives Reported Today (04)

 Another 1243 Corona Positives had been reported in the country today (04) Increasing the total number of Corona Positives reported so far in the country to 615,902 according to Epidemiology Unit ,


Accordingly at the moment 20,138 Corona positives are being treated at hospitals /Quarantine Centers and under home care system the Unit has stated ,

According to the Health Ministry the number of Corona Positives reported this week had been increased by 30 percent then the previous week .The number of Oxygen dependent Corona positives are also on the increase the Ministry has stated ,

Health authorities urged the public to strictly adhere the health guidelines these days during their day to day activities and restrict the  movements to avoid the spreading of Omicron variant .

Another 14 Corona Positive Employees Had Been Identified Today 03)

 Another 14 Parliament employees had been  tested positives for corona virus  today (03) through the Rapid Antigen Tests performed on them according to Parliament sources .The new Corona Positives had been identified through the Rapid Antigen Tests that had been  performed on 65 Parliament employees it has been reported .


Last Monday (31) another group of  12 Parliament workers including the finance director of Parliament had been   tested positive for Corona virus and around 12 Parliament MP's including the speaker Mahinda Yapa Abegunawardhana had been rested positive for Corona virus through Rapid Antigen tests performed for them.
