Petroleum Corporation Finally Agreed To Supply Fuel For Electricity Board -No More Power Cuts As Planned

 Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (Ceypetco )which is currently being faced with severe fuel shortage had  finally   agreed to supply the required amount of Fuel including diesel to Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) for a period of two weeks to generate uninterrupted electricity supply .

Earlier Ceylon Electricity Board has decided to impose an Island wide power cuts with effect from today (24) as a result of closing down many  power plants belongs to CEB  due to the fuel shortage .

Meanwhile President Gotabaya Rajapakshe too had requested the Ceylon Electricity Board today not to impose power cuts as planned and Minister of Finance Basil Rajapakshe had stated that he will take steps to import the required amount of fuel need by Electricity Board from India  after next two weeks 

14 Corona Deaths Had Been Reported Today (24)

 A total of 14 Corona deaths had been reported today (24) in the country ,Increasing the total number of Corona deaths that had been reported so far to 15,313 according to Director General Of Health Services (DGHS) .

Accordingly 08 males and 06 females had died due to Corona infection the DGHS has stated .Out of the deceased 96 were over 60 years of age and 07 were belonged t0 30-60 year age group it has been revealed ,One of the deceased was under 30  years of age .

877 Corona Positives Reported Today (24))

 Another 877 Corona positives had been reported in the country today(24).Increasing the total number of Corona Positives that had been reported so far to 602,763 according to Epidemiology Unit.

Eight foreign arrivals were Among those Corona positives reported for today (24) the Unit has stated.

At the moment 11,126 Corona positives are being treated at hospitals ,Quarantine centers and under home care system it has been reported.

 A Total of 838 Corona positives had been reported in the country today (23) ,Increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 801,886 according to the Epidemiology Unit..A foreign arrival were among the Corona positives reported today 

Accordingly 10,473 Corona positives are being treated at Quarantine Center ,Hospitals and under home care system the Unit ha stated.

Fifteen Corona Deaths Had Been Reported Today (23)

Another 15 Corona deaths had been reported in the country today (23) ,Increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 15,299 According to Director General Of Health Services (DGHS) .

Accordingly 09 males and 06 females had died due to Corona infection the DGHS has stated ,Out of the deceased 09 were over 60 years of age and 05 were belonged to 30-60 year age group it has been revealed .One of the deceased was under 30 years of age .
