12,000 Cafes And Bakeries Had Been Shut Down Due To Gas Shortage

 Around 12,000 Cafeterias attached to state and private institutions, schools as well as  Bakeries Island wide  had been completely shut down due to the ongoing  Gas shortage and high prices of vegetables and other ingredients need to make Bakery products according to the All Ceylon Canteen  Owners Association

.

Accordingly around 4000 Cafeterias and 3500 Bakeries are among those which had completely shut down it has been revealed .

Secretary To The Ministry Of Agriculture Had Been Removed

 The secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture Professor Udith K Jayasinghe had been removed from the secretary post with effect from today (22) government has announced .

President Gotabaya Rajapakahe had appointed D.M.L.D Bandaranaike as the new secretary to the Ministry .

Whilst at office Outgoing Ministry Secretary professor  Jayasinghe had made some controversial statements   regarding organic fertilizer 

Long Queues In Colombo To Collect Litro Gas Cylinders

 Long queues had been seen today (22) in front of the sales agent shops belonging to Sri Lanka"s premier Gas supplier Litro Gas company to collect their Gas cylinders due to the short supply of Gas it has been reported.

IN front of some Litro Gas sales agent shops in Colombo city ,queues long as 300 meters had been seen today according to sources .Some in these queues had awaited around five hours to collect a gas cylinder the sources had stated .

Many in queues had left empty handed due to the short supply of Litro Gas it has been revealed .

16 Corons Dearhs Had Been Reported Today (22)

 Another 16 Corona Deaths had been reported today (22) increasing the total number of Corona deaths that had been reported so far to 14,811 according to Director General Of Health Services (DGHS

Accordingly 08 males and 08 females has died due to Corona infection the DGHS had  stated ..Out of the deceased 11 were over 60 years old and 04 were belonged to 30+60 agr group .Another deceased was under 39 years old

 Another 673 Corona Positives had been reported in the country today (22) Increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 581,595 according to Epidemiology Unit .
