School Teachers And Principals To Continue Their Strike Action

 The School Teachers -Principals Trade Unions had decided to continue their Strike action further until solving their  salary anomaly issue at once .

The decision had been taken after the discussions held with Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakshe and Government officials .Cabinet had decided to solve the salary anomaly issue of the Teachers and Principals in two stages which was denied by the Trade unions ,

Meanwhile Provincial Governors had decided to re open the schools in their provinces with less then 200 students from 21 st of October .

680 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (13)

 A total number of 680 Corona Positives had been reported in the country today (13) ,increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 528,415 according to Epidemiology Unit ,

Accordingly 23,769 Corona positives are being treated at hospitals ,Quarantine Centers and Under Home Care system the Unit has stated ,

Only 5849 "PCR " Tests and 2733 Rapid Antigen tests had been performed in the country yesterday (12) according to the Health Promotions Bureau ,

31 Corona Deaths Reported Today (13)

 Another 31 Corona deaths had been reported today (13) according to the Director General Of Health Services (DGHS) .

Accordingly 20 males and 11 females had died due to Corona infection and  with this the  total number of Corona deaths reported so far in the country had risen to 13,408 the DGHS had announced .Out of the deceased 23 were over 60 years of age and 08 were belonged to the 30-60 year age group ,
