Twenty Two Health Trade Unions To Launch A Strike Tomorrow (08)
Twenty Two Health professions attached to Government Hospitals including Government Nurses ,Paramedics ,Professions Supplementary To Medicine (PSM) and Minor staff are scheduled to launch a one day token strike tomorrow (08) by walking out from their work places m demanding solutions for 08 of their service demands according to the Health Trade Union Alliance ,
Only emergency services in Government Hospitals will be maintained during the strike the Trade Union Alliance comprising of 44 Health Trade Unions has stated .,Some of the demands made by the Trade unions are avoid cutting special leave granted to health workers during the Corona Pandemic and giving the special allowance of Rs,7500 to health workers
The striking health workers are due to hold protest campaigns IN front of major government hospitals during the lunch hour .
Health Authorities has not given any discussion for the Trade Union Alliance regarding tomorrow's strike According to the Union sources .,

Government Has Increased The Prices Of Cement ,Gas ,Milk Powder And Wheat Flour -Controlled Prices Removed
Government has decided to remove the controlled prices imposed on four essential items and increased their prices with immediate effect during a Special Cabinet meeting held at President's office today (07) under the patronage of President Gotabaya Rajapakshe ,
Accordingly the Controlled prices imposed on Cement ,Gas ,Milk Powder and Wheat Flour will be removed and their priced will be increased it has been announced .
Recently the Consumer Affairs Authority had given the approval to increase the price of a Kilo Gramme of Milk Powder by Rs.200 ,a Kilo Gramme oF Cement by Rs.50 and a Gas Cylinder by Rs.550 .
President had advised the Ministers to avoid unnecessary Price hikes of these essential items in the market when increasing the prices of them ,
772 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (07)
A Total of 772 Corona Positives had been reported today (07) in the country according to Epidemiology Unit ,
Accordingly the total number of Corona Positives reported so far had risen to 523,550 the Unit has stated At the moment 31,580 Corona Positives are being treated at Hospitals Quarantine Centers and Under Home care system ,
A Total of 6505 "PCR " Tests and 3873 "Rapid Antigen " tests had been performed in the country yesterday (06) according to Health Promotions Bureau ,
Meanwhile 435 Corona Positives had been recovered and discharged from Hospitals today increasing the total number of Corona Positives recovered and discharged from Hospitals so far to 478,761 .
44 Corona Deaths Had Been Reported Today (07)
Another 44 Corona deaths had been reported today(07) in the country increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 13,229 according to Director General Of Health Services (DGHS) .
Accordingly 25 males and 19 females had died due to Corona infection the DGHS has stated ,Out of the deceased 39 were over 50 years of age and 04 were belonged to the 30-60 year age group it has been revealed .One of the deceased was under 30 years old according to reports ,
