The Island wide strike launched by Professions Supplementary to Medicine (PSM )and Para Medical officers has ended last noon (06)after the promise made by Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi to submit a cabinet paper to solve the major demands of the strikers .
The Health strike had caused the paralyzing of many health services in government hospitals including lab and radiography tests and reduction of daily PCR tests in the country .
A total number of 919 Corona positives had been reported today (06) in the island ,Increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 267,433 according to National Covid +19 Prevention Center .
At the moment 27,506 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and quarantine centers .
A total of 45 Corona deaths were reported today (06) in the country ,Increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 3313 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .
Accordingly 30 males and 15 females had died due to Covid pneumonia and complications related to non communicable diseases as a result of Corona infection .
