125 Coconut Oil Samples Had Been Taken From The Local Market To Check On The Quality Of The Oils

 The Consumer Affairs Authority had taken 125 Samples from the Coconut oils available in local market to check whether a stock of Coconut oil contains a Cancer agent has  released to the market the sources have revealed .


Accordingly the Authority had taken 05 Coconut oil samples per a  district to check on Coconut oil contains  Cancer agent.

Another 166 Corona Positives Reported Today (29)

 A total number of 166 Corona positives had bern reported in the country today (29)Increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 92,303 according National Covid ,-19 Prevention Center .


Due to the low number of "PCR "tests performed Daily in the country the number of Corona positives reported daily is being dropped it had been revealed .

At the moment 2823 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and quarantine centers .

Five Corona Deaths Reported Today (29)

 Another 05 Corona deaths had been reported today (29)increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far in the country to 566 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center 


Accordingly five males resided at Ethulkotte ,Kandana ,Colombo -15,Kalutara south and Colombo -13 had died due to Covid Pneumonia and complications of Non communicable diseases they have suffered from as a result of Corona infection the Center had stated .The deceased were of the ages 70,63,45,55 and 67 years it has been revealed .

Four Persons Injured Due To A Collision Of Three Vehicles

 Four persons. Including three females had been injured and hospitalized due to a collision of three vehicles at Galle Road in Pothupitiya ,Wadduwa today (29)


A Motor Car ,Small lorry and b Three wheeler had clouded each other in this accident .Accordingly the Three wheeler had toppled over the road after the collision .

Two Persons Had Died Inside A Mine

 Two persons had died after being trapped inside a mine at Veralupitiya in Awissawella area yesterday (27) .The deceased had died due to the interruption of power supply to the mine caused by heavy showers it has been revealed.


The deceased were of the ages 41 and 45 Years resided at Awissawella area .
