The weakly fair at Jaffna had been temporarily closed down today (24) after identifying 18 Corona positives including 09 traders attached to the fair it has been reported
A,ccordingly Jaffna Mayor was also there among those tested positive for Corona virus .Health Authorities in jaffna are planning to increase the number of PCR Tests performed in Jaffna .
Another 238 Corona positives had been identified today (24) through the a reduced number of PCR Tests performed , Increasing the total number of Corona. Positives reported so far in the country to 91,018 the National Covid -19Prevention Center has stated .
At the moment 2836 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and quarantine centers .
The Special High Court trial at bar had today (23) further remanded the former Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake and seven other suspects including the owner of the Perpetual Treasuries limited Arjun Alosius over the Central Bank bond scam ,until tomorrow (24).
The eight suspects were emended over their involvement in Central Bank Bond scam in 2016.
