MP Wasantha Yapa Bandara Has Become The Sixth Parliamentarian To Be Tested Positive For Corona Virus

 MP Wasantha Yapa Bandara of the ruling Sri Lanka Peoples Progressive Party (Sri Lanka Podu Jana Peramuna ) had been tested positive for Corona virus it had been. Announced today (25).

The MP who is also the Chairman of Kandy District Co-Ordination Committee had attended the parliament sessions held on 19 th January and several meetings and rallies held in Rural areas recently it had been revealed .He is the Sixth Parliamentarian to be tested positive for Corona virus 

The Central.province Health Department and the Parliament officials are currently launched a mission to trace his close contacts .Parliament officials are using CCTV cameras to identify his close contacts in the Parliament .

Around 30 members   of his staff and relatives were performed  "PCR "tests today it has been revealed 

653 Corona Positives Had Been Discharged Today(25)

 Another 653 Corona Positives had been discharged from Hospitals today (25)after full recovery according to  Epidemeology Unit .

The total number of Corona positives recovered and discharged from Hospitals had increased to 50,337 the Unit has stated .

Four Corona Deaths Were Reported Today (25)

 Another 04 Corona Deaths had bern reported in the Country today (25)according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .Accordingly the total number of Corona deaths reported in the country so far had bern increased to.287 .

Four persons including two females and two males resided in Beruwala ,Daraniyagala ,Warrakapola and Colombo -08 had died today (25)due to the complications of Non Communicable diseases and Covid Pneumonia they have suffered from caused by Corona infection .The deceased were of the ages  43,49,76and 71 years it has been Revealed .

737 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (25)

 A total of 737 Corona positives had been reported in the country today (25)raising the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 59,167 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center  

Accordingly all these positives were contacts of the previous Corona positives reported from Minuwangoda ,Paliyagoda and Prisons Corona clusters  the Center has stated .The total number of Corona positives reported  so far from these clusters had been increased to 55,288 it has been revealed .

At the moment 8547 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and treatment centers .

13 Corona Positives Reported From Health Ministry -09 Sections Were Closed

 Thirteen Corona Positives including  Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi had been reported from.the Ministry of Health so far  and as a result  Nine sections and offices in  the Ministry had been temporarily closed down the sources have stated .The latest section which had been closed down in the Ministry was Nurses Administration Unit

.

Many employees attached to those sections and offices  which had been closed sent to quarantine centers for quarantine .

However other sections at the Health are currently functioning by following Anti Corona health guidelines the Ministry sources had stated 

Three Corona Deaths Reported Today (24)-All Were Females

 Another 03 Corona deaths had been reported in the country today (24)raising the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 283 According to the Health Ministry .

Accordingly three females of the ages 77,84 and 65 years resided at Colombo -14 ,Maradana and Pujapitiya in Kandy District respectively had died due to the complications of non communicable diseases they had suffered from.caused  by Corona infection the Ministry has stated .These deaths occurred at Mulleriyawa  Base ,Colombio  National and Theldeniya Base hospitals .
