Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi Had Been Tested Positive For Corona Virus

Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi had been tested positive for Corona virus Health Ministry sources had confirmed last night (22)..Her husband the chairman of the Sabaraganuwa provincial council Kanchana Jsyaratne had also tested positive for the virus it has been revealed .

Both the Health Minister and her husband has sent to a quarantine center for treatment

It is believed there were many first contacts of Health Minister Wanniarachchi at the Health Ministry and outside as she had participated many events at the Ministry as well as in other places .She had also seen accepting a report on the Jayawardanapura Hospital from a panel members at the Ministry yesterday .

Easier around 09 units and offices of the Health Ministry had been closed down temporarily as severa employees at these units and offices had been tested positive for the Corona virus and put under quarantine The latest unit at the Ministry which was closed due to Corona spread is Nursing Administration unit it has been revealed .

Health Minister is the latest Parliamentarian who had been tested positive for Corona virus in the country following four others who had been confirmed as Corona positives few weeks ago .

Health Minister had received the result of her "PCR "report last evening whilst attending a meeting at Kalutara District it had been reported .Several ministers and the youngest brother of Prime Minister and President Basil Rajapskshe had been participated at the event according to sources .

Two Corona Deaths Reported Yesterday (22)

The total number of Corona Deaths in the country had risen to 278 as another 02 Corona Deaths had been reported in the island yesterday (22)according to the Ministry of Health .

Accordingly a 82 year old male resided at Colombo -08 and a 51 year old female resided at Homagama had died. Due to the Covid related Pneumonia ,Septacemia and Renal failure conditions respectively caused by Corona infection.

784 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Yesterday (22)

A total of 784 Corona positives had been reported in the Country yesterday (22)increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 56,683 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

All the positives that had been reported today were contacts of the previous Corona positives reported from Minuwangoda ,Paliyagoda and Prisons corona clusters the Center has stated

So far 52,986 Corona positives had bern reported from these clusters it has been revealed .At the moment 7968 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and treatment centers .
