Eight Employees Attached To Sri Lankan Airlines Catering Division Had Tested Positive For Corona Virus

 Eight employees attached. To the Sri Lankan Airlines Catering Operations Division had been tested positive for Corona virus according to Sri Lankan Airlines  


Accordingly one employee attached to Sri Lankan Airlines Catering division had been tested positive for Corona virus on last Monday and another seven employees at the division who are close contacts of the Corona positive employee had been tested positive for the virus. Yesterday (17).

As a result all the employees in the Catering division who ate contacts of the  Corona positive employees had undergone 'PCR "tests .

Sri Lankan Airlines Catering division had assured that  the Airlines passamgers will receive  food with good hygiene during Corona pandamic  .

650 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (17)

 Another 650 Corona positives had been reported in the country today (17)increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 35,378 according to Epidemeology Unit .


Accordingly All the Corona positives reported  in the country today (17)were contacts of the Paliyagoda Fish Market corona cluster again the Epidemeology Unit has stated. 

Up to now 31,720 Corona positives had been reported from the Minuwangoda ,Paliyagoda and Prisons Corona clusters it has been revealed .

At the moment 8874 Corona positives are being treated at government ,hospitals and treatment centers islandwide .

Quadruplets Born To A Corona Positive Female At de Soyza Hospital

 A  29 year old Corona positive female had given birth to Quaduruplets today (17)at De Soyza Maternity Hospital in Borella the first Quadruplets born to a Corona positive female in Sri Lanka .


The Quadruplets  comprising of two girls and two boys were  born through a Ceasarian operation and tested negative for Corona virus according to Hospital sources. Two of these infants are currently at PBU and other two are at a ward it has  been revealed .

The mother of the Quadruplets who is residing at Siri Damma Mawatha (Road ) in Maradana (Colombo -10) had admitted to De Soyza Hospital two weeks back and tested positive for Corona virus .

Government To Provide A Let an Scheme For Every Family During Festive Season

 Government has decided to provide loans for every family at low interest rate  to cater to the needs in the forthcoming Christmas and New year festive season according to the President's Media Division .



Accordingly both state and private sector employees  as well as daily wage earner's ,Pensioners and Samurdhi beneficiaries who have a bank account in a Bank   are entitled for this loan which need to repay within 10 months time at 0.625 interest rate .

Peoples bank ,Bank Of Ceylon National savings bank ,Provincial development ban and Samurdhi Bank will be provided loans according to Presidents media  

Accordingly those employees with Rs.50,000 monthly salary can get a loan worth RS.50,000 ,Those who earn a salary between Rs.25,000 -50,000 can apply for Rs.25,000 loan and those who earn a salary Below Rs.25,000 can get a loan of RS.10,000 the Media unit has stated .
