Imprisoned Former Director Of CID Shàni Abeysekare Had Been Transferred To IDH Hospital

 The imprisoned Former Director of Criminal Investigations Department (CID)SSP Shani Abeysekare who had been tested positive for Corona virus whilst at Mahara prison was admitted to National Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH)in Angoda on Friday (27)under medical advise .

The former CID Director nicknamed as Sherlock Holmes in Sri Lanka police had been transferred to Welikada prison hospital and Welikanda Treatment center respectively after testing positive for corona virus .

Many sections in the society including opposition leader Sajith premadasa  had requested the government to admit Former CID Director to IDH hospital for treatment since few days. 

Another 08 Corona Deaths Were Reported

 Another 08 Corona deaths had been reported in the country on Friday (27)increasing the total number of Corona Deaths Reported so far to 107 according to the National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

Accordingly four female and four male residents of Colombo District had died due to the Corona infection on Friday and they were residents of Colombo -13,Colombo -15,Dematagoda ,Colombo -09,,Maligakanda ,Colombo -02,Maradana -Colombo -10 and a prison inmate of Magazine prison ,Borella .

The deceased were of the ages  87, 54 ,78,36,83,58,69 and 70 years and five of them died whilst st home and three died at the hospital .

472 Corona Positives Reported In The Country Today (27)

 A total of 472 Corona positives had been reported today (27)in the country ncreasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 22,501 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

Accordingly all the Corona positives reported today were close contacts of the Paliyagoda Fish Market Corona Cluster the center has stated .

The total number of Corona positives belong to Minuwangoda Brandix and Paliyagoda fish market Corona clusters had now increased to 18,983 according to reports .

Meanwhile at the moment 6168 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and treatment centers it has been revealed .

369 Corona Positives Had Been Discharged From Hospitals Yesterday (26)

 Another 369 Corona positives had been discharged from Hospitals and treatment centers yesterday (26)after full recovery according to Epidemeology Unit .

Accordingly 15,816 Corona positives had been discharged from Hospitals so far after full recovery. 

Crimes OIC Of The Colpetty Police Had Suddenly Died Whilst Exercising At Galle Face Green

 OIC of the Crimes Division in Colpetty Police (Colombo )has died suddenly last morning (26)whilst engaged in physical exercises at Galle face green it has been reported .

The 42 year old resident of Maussa golla,Passara area had been tested negative for Corona virus the Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana  has stated .

The reason caused the death of Crimes OIC has not yet been revealed .However the deceased OIC had undergone a heart surgery few months ago according to reports .
