SLTB Bus Carrying Parliament Staff Toppled In To A Pond Last Evening (20)

 The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB)Bus which arrived in Parliamentary Complex to transport Parliament staff members to their houses had toppled into the nearby pond last evening (20)as the driver of the bus unable to control the vehicle due to the heavy showers prevailed in at that time .


Around 15 Staff members of the parliament were inside the bus at the time of the incident and the residents in the area had rescued them unharmed .

The Bus was there in the pond for hours until a crane arrived to remove that it has been reported .

368 Corona Positives Had been Discharged Yesterday (20)

 Another 368 Corona positives had been discharged from Hospitals and treatment centers yesterday (20) after full recovery according to Epidemeology Unit .

435 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Yesterday (20)

 A total of 435 Corona Positives had been reported in the country yesterday (20) increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 19,280 according to Epidemeology Unit  


Accordingly all the positives reported yesterday were contacts of the Paliyagoda fish market cluster .Up to now the number of Corona Positives identified as the close contacts of Minuwangoda Brandix and Paliyagoda Fish market Corona clusters is 15,765 the unit has stated .

At the moment 5935 Corona Positives are being treated in government hospitals and treatment centers 











Another Corona Death Reported Today (20)

 Another Corona death has been  reported today (20 ) in the country  increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 74 according l Epidemeology Unit .


Accordingly a 70 year old male resident of Colombo-02 has been died today due to the  heart pain caused by corona infection.The deceased was receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital  at the time of his death .

Four Corona Deaths Reported Yesterday (19)

 Another Four Corona deaths had been reported yesterday (19)in the island increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 73 according to the Epidemeology Unit.


Accordingly two females and two males had died due to the Corona virus infection 

A 70 year old resident of Colombo -10 had died after admission to a Private hospital in Colombo due to the pneumonia fever caused by Corona virus , A 59 year old female resident of  pokunuvita area in Kalutara District had died  at house due to the complications of chest infection and hypertension caused by Corona virus , A 27 year old female resident  of Colombo -15 has died due to the complications of liver infection caused by Corona virus  at Mulleriyawa hospital and a 86 year old male resident  of Galthota area in Kalutara. Had died  at home due to the chest infection  caused by the virus  yesterday the Unit has said .
