A total of 437 Corona positives had been identified in prisons Islandwide up to now according to prison Authorities .
Accordingly majority of these Corona positives were prison inmates and there were few prison officials among these positives .
Prison inmates and prison officers of several prisons in the island including Welikada ,Bogambara ,Kslutara ,Kuruwota and Boosa prisons had been tested positive for Corona virus so far .
A total of 704 Corona positives had been reported in the country today (15)increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 17,287 according to the National Covid -19 Prevention Center .
All the positives reported today were close contacts of previous Corona positives the Center has stated .Up to now the number of Corona Positives reported from Paliyagoda fish market cluster had been increased to 13,788.
At the moment 5234 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and treatment centers .
Five more Corona deaths had been reported today (15) in the country increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 58 according to the Epidemeology Unit .
Accordingly five males of the ages 54,39,88,79 and 88 have died due to the complications of non communicable diseases they have suffered with the unit has stated .All the deceased were residents of Colombo namely Colombo 13,Colombo -15,Colombo -12,Colombo -08 and Colombo -13,.
Four of them were died whilst admitting to hospitals and one died at home it has been revealed .
A total of 171 Corona positives had been discharged from Hospitals today (15)after full recovery according to Health sources .
Accordingly up to now 11,495 Corona Positives had been discharged from Hospitals the sources have stated .
