Quarantine Curfew Had Been Imposed In Five Police Divisions At Kuliyapitiya Area As The Corona Cases In The Area Are On The Rise

 Police Quarantine Curfew has been imposed by Authorities in five Police Divisions at Kuliyapitiya area(North Western Province ) from today (20) until further notice as the  number of Corona positives in the area  are on the rise .

Accordingly  the Police Curfew has been imposed in Kuliyapitiya ,Pannala,Narammala ,Dummalasuriya and Giriulla police divisions  

14 new Corona positives had been reported in Kuliyapitiya area today and all of them were attended a church mass held at s Church in Kuliyapitiya area the Chief MOH of Kuliyapitiya  Dr.Uthpala Sankalpa Gunasekare has stated .

Meanwhile so far 25 Corona positives had been reported from Kuliyapitiya area and among them there were  those who have attended a Church wedding  held on 02nd of October Dr.Gunaseksra has revealed .

He has urged those who have attended the Church mass and wedding held at Kuliyapitiya to report on their true details and undergo "PCR " tests. .

CID Had Arrested MP Baduideen At Dehiwala

 Police officers attached to Criminal Investigations Department (CID) had arrested the Opposition MP Ridhad Baduidedn  who was in hiding during Last few days at Dehiwala  area (Colombo ) over misusing of public funds according to the Police .

Accordingly CID officers had detained another seven persons including a specialist lady doctor attached to South Colombo Teaching Hospital and her Engineer Husband who had. Given accomadation for MP Baduidednn and transport him from Kalubowila to Dehiwala .

Meanwhile MP Baduideen had been remanded until 27 th of October by the Colombo Fort Magistrate after been produced before the court this noon .

CID had used six police teams to arrest MP Baduideen it has been revealed .

Three Villages In Mathugama Named As Isolation Areas

 Three villages in Mathugama Divisional Secretariet  at Kalutara District had been named as an isolation areas today (18).

Accordingly villages Ovotigala ,Badugama and Badugama new colony had been declared as an isolated areas .

 17 Corona positives  had. Been reported from the Mathugama Divisional Secretariet so far. It has been revealed .

Sixteen Police Officers Of Armour Street Police Station Had Been Sent To Quarantine After 02 Family Members Of. A Policeman Had Tested Positive For Corona Virus

 Sixteen Police Officers attached to Armour Street Police station in Colombo Including the OIC had been sent to quarantine today (18) after two family members Of a Police sergeant of a Police station had been tested positive for Corona virus according to the Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana.

As the Police Sergant  whose family members had  been tested positive for Corona virus ,had reported for work during last few days I,Armour Street Police station had been closed down this evening for few hours for disinfection the Police station 

After few hours the Police station had been reopenef by using police officers from other police stations .
