A Group Of 331 Sri Lankans Stranded In USA And United Arab Emirates Had Arrived in Sri Lanka Today (01)

 A Group of 331 Sri Lankans stranded in USA and United Arab Emirates due to the Corona
Epidemic had returned to Sri Lanka this morning (01) according to Katunayake International Airport officials ,

Accordingly 312 Sri Lankans stranded in USA and 19 Sri Lankans in United Arab Emirates had arrived at Katunayake Airport .

"PCR " tests were performed on All these passengers at the Airport and later they were sent to Quarantine Centers for quarantine . 

All Government And Private Schools To Receive Second Term Holidays From 09 th Of October

All government schools and Private
schools in the island approved by the Government are due to receive their second term holidays on 09 th of October Ministry of Education has announced .

Accordingly All schools will be re opened for the third term on 09 th of November .

G,C,E Advanced level and Grade 5 scholorship  examinations are scheduled to be held this month.

Police Have Arrested Three Persons Over Transporting Heroin

Akkaraipattu Police had yesterday (30)arrested three persons including two females over transporting 25
of Heroin by a Three Wheeler at oluwil in Akkaraipattu area .

Police had also taken into custody Rs.19,000 believes to be earned through Heroin smuggling in possession of the suspects.

The suspects who are of the ages 25- 35   and residing at palamuna area are scheduled to be produced before Akkaraipattu Magistrate Court today  (01) 

Seven Corona Positives Had Been Reported Yesterday (30)

Seven Corona Positives had been
reported yesterday (30) in the country, increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 3380 according to Epidemeology Unit .

04 arrivals from Oman were among those tested positive for Corona virus yesterday.

Ten Corona positives had been reported from the country on last Tuesday  (29) and all of them were foreign  arrivals it has been revealed.

At the moment 134 Corona positives are being treated at Government Hospitals.
