Ruling Party MP Premalal Jayasekare Who Was Sentenced To Death Over A Murder Had Sworn In As MP Today (08)- Opposotion MP's Protested Over His Presence

Malli who had Been elected to the Parliament from Ruling Podu jana   Peramuna party  whilst in prison on a death row, had sworn in as a MP before speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana today (08) amidst the Opposotion of Opposotion MP's.

MP Jayasekare has become the first MP in Parliament that had sworn in as MP after sentencing to  death over a murder he had committed in Ratnapura District.

Opposition MP's led by main opposition Samagi Janabalawegaya (SJB) had protested over swearing in of the  MP who had committed a murder by wearing black shawls and later all MP's of SJB party had left Parliament house as a protest

MP Jayasekare had sworn in as a MP after court of Appeal had given him permission yesterday  (07)to attend Parliament sessions after considering the writ petition submitted by him

Earlier Attorney General Dappula De Livera as well as the General Secretary of Parliament had Stated that MP Jayasekare couldn't attend Parliament and take oath as a MP as he had  found guilty as a murderer by the court.

A 37 Year Old Person Had Fallen To The GIn River After Colliding With A Motor Car

A 37 year old pedestrian had fallen in
to the "GIn" River and dissappeared after colliding with a Motor Car driven in a reckless manner at Walawwa junction in Mapalagama Road, Galle last evening (07)according to Police.

Sri Lanka Navy divers had launched a search mission to find the dissappeared person,However due to the rising water level of GIn River it will be a difficult task to find the missing person Police have stated .

The injured Motor Car driver had been hospitalized after the accident.         

A New Fire Occurred In "New Diamond "Crude Oil Ship


A new fire has been occurred in the  Crude oil Ship "MT New Diamond located out side Sri Lankan shore 'yesterday  (07)after dousing the previous fire occurred in the Boiler of the Ship last Sunday (06) according to Sri Lanka Navy. 

The cause of the new fire has not yet been revealed .

However Navy believes the hot temperature inside the Ship and gusty winds had caused this new fire.  The previous fire occurred in the ship had been completely doused by the Sri Lanka Navy with the assistance of Sri Lanka Airforce, And Indian coastal guards. 

Two Corona Positives Reported Yesterday (07)-No Positive Reported Today (07)Up To Now Number Of "PCR "Tests Performs In Sri Lanka Daily Has Not Yet Increased

A total of 02 Corona positives had been
reported yesterday (06) in the country ,Increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 3123 according to the Epidemeology Unit .

Accordingly An arrival from India and another Arrival From United Arab Emirates had tested positive for Corona virus  yesterday.

Today (07)up to now no Corona positive has been reported in the country the Epidemeology Unit has stated .

However only one Corona positive had been recovered and discharged from hospital today ,increasing the total number of Corona positives discharged from hospitals to 2926 the Epidemeology Unit has stated. 

Meanwhile Still the daily "PCR "tests perform in Sri Lanka to identify Corona positives has not yet increased although Health Authorities were informed to increase the tests.
